Dr. Matschernus studied law in Hamburg, Göttingen and Madrid. He completed his legal clerkship in Hamburg and San Francisco. He received his doctorate on a corporate law topic. Dr. Matschernus has been an attorney since 2007 and a specialist attorney for commercial and corporate law since 2019.

Dr. Matschernus began his legal career at Latham & Watkins LLP and was subsequently a partner at established Hamburg law firms. He has been a partner at HUTH DIETRICH HAHN since 2021.
